Frankenstein (Fall 2009)
Fallout: Sawman Crusades
This was a class assignment. The goal of the project was to create a fantasy part-human, part-animal creature for a humorous montage. We were to take several digital photos of 2 to 3 different people – shot with consistent lighting against a neutral background. Then we had to retouch the images of different people to combine them into one creature. (i.e. put our father’s head on our sister’s body). Then we had to add animal or insect appendages to make it even more outlandish.
After we created our monster, we had to put our monster into a fantastic background setting. The images could be scanned from books, magazines, or downloaded from the Internet. We also had to include type for an outrageous tabloid-style headline.
I designed the image as part of a class project for Digital Imaging and Manipulation in the 2009 fall semester at The University of Findlay.
