Liquids Packaging (Fall 2009)
Ice

This was a class assignment. There were 2 parts to the assignment.
Part 1: Liquid Word
We were to illustrate one of the following words to give the illusion that the word was made of that material: Lava — Ice — Pewter OR Bronze — Venum. We then had to select a typeface that would match the word, and modify it as needed. Then we had to add color, texture, embossing, or whatever was needed to give the appearance of that liquid. Then we had to research ways to create these effects on the Internet and design magazines.
Part 2: Liquid Packaging
The second part was to create a set of "products" using the 3-D Word art. We had to add the words “In a Bottle,” In a Box,” and “In a Tube” below the word. Then we had to superimpose our word logo on the supplied packaging photos, wrapping and distorting as needed to give the illusion that it was a label printed on the bottle, box and tube.
Then change the color of the liquid in the bottle and the lids so it looked like our "product" was inside. Finally, we had to create a magazine ad for our product.
I designed the packaging and 3-D word as part of a class project for Digital Imaging and Manipulation in the 2009 fall semester at The University of Findlay.
