Goals of the Project

This was a class assignment. We had to design and produce a fun and informational 4-page personal newsletter about ourself for our family and friends. It had to have multiple columns and to be created in InDesign. Requirements:

• 8 1/2” x 11” flat = 5 1/2" x 11" folded
• 3 images
• 1 piece of our own artwork
• 1 photograph of ourself
• 1 additional image of our choice
• Design a masthead with a catchy name (“Ned’s News”)
• Date of Issue
• Write 3 articles:
• Our Academic achievements (how we were doing in school)
• Our personal / social life and activities
• Magazine Review essay
• Design an ad to promote our design services
•     using our own logo.
• Use all of the following typographic treatments:
• Call Out
• Initial Cap
• Photo Captions
• Photo credits.
• Sidebar
• Text wrap
• Contact info: phone, email, mailing address
• Any other interesting or fun stuff we wanted to put in it.
