Project Details
Goals of the Project
In 2005, The R.E. Davis Company wanted a new web design to replace their existing site. They wanted a full scale website that listed all of their products.
In 2009, they wanted to give their website a fresh new look and add several new features to the website. The new features include: website search, drop down menus, new logo, video clips, contact form, and shopping cart capabilities.
While the shopping cart capabilities are still being programmed, the new site is up and running.
The 2005 website was a re-design of an old site. The 2009 website was a re-design of the design I had done in 2005.
Description
The first website that was designed in 2005 was designed while I was working as a freelance designer. This website was the first large scale website project I had ever done.
The second website that was designed in 2009 was designed as a project for one of my classes at The University of Findlay. I worked closely with the client again to design a website that looked and felt more historically accurate for the company's persona.
While the old 2005 site was good four years ago, a new and exciting design needed to be developed.
