Goals of the Project
The goal of the website was to create an attractive user friendly website and to provide an online shopping cart experience. In addition, the client wanted to make sure that the features on the website would be able to be seen by people who live in other countries with slower and older computers. Most of the client's sales come from out of the states.
While there are still some features that are being programmed, the new site is up and running.
This website was a re-design of an old site.
Description
I designed TSI as a designer and owner of Revolutionary Design Solutions, a web and graphic design business. The site was started in 2009 and is still being programmed.
One feature that the client wanted carried over from the old site was a six speed manual shifter. It was on the index page and served as a menu for navigating the site. Another menu was also in use which had different options than the shifter. Both menus were confusing to customers.
The shifter was an unattractive generic shifter. For the new site, a new shifter had to be designed and implemented. Using Photoshop, I designed the shifter which can be seen by visiting the website. Both menus were combined into one for the new site. When a user mouses over the new shifter, the shifter changes "speeds" allowing for more user interactivity with the site.
